Here's another tip - don't turn your computer off if you can avoid it. The power sequencing as the computer comes up is one of the leading causes of component failure, in fact this power cycling is one of the ways vendors test - it's called failure acceleration through power stress. Not shutting off the power can triple the life of your box.
