An interesting note from the Thomson deal with MSFT, NEC, DirecTV, and Alcatel.

No cable TV that I can see, except for the settops. Alcatel does ADSL (phone lines). DirecTV does satellite, and in the announcement it mentioned terrestrial digital -- both are wireless technologies.

MSFT is covering all bases, as you would expect.
