Hi Sean, I think your post was directed to me by mistake. I am not having problems with Win98. I was just relating my experience of moving from machine to machine. I think Jurgen has the problem. For sure you are more the expert than me but I really think he has a hardware problem. I have been down the road he is going down many times and 99% of the time it was hardware. Wish I could have the unix experience. I have always heard that it is as you say. But, I have to say that without MSFT (and other enterprising companys) I would probably not be sitting here writing this. They have made it so that computer dummies like myself can do things that I never imagined possibe without people of your expertise.(and I still need people of your expertise :-) Monty
