Another question is why CUBE is featured so prominently at the R-S Semi conference. This is a semiconductor conference, is it not? Perhaps CUBE should be spending more time at conferences reflecting where it is earning a majority of its revenue, i.e. digital video networking.

As a semi company, particularly now, CUBE is being punished. Punished for DVD slow rollout. Punished for DIVX. Punished for LSI getting one of the design wins with Sony. Punished for new China VCD standard. At the same time, everyone knows that digital video is here and will grow magnificently over the next decade.

I'm conflicted. On one hand, I think it's great CUBE is low in price so I can accumulate as much as I want. On the other hand, they should simply split the company again to have it reflect the true value. After all, the street can only punish the semi side so much by giving it ridiculus price to book value ratios. But at these prices we are also punishing divi side of business.

They can accomplish the same thing, though, by starting to play it smart with IR. Repeat after me "Fabless semi maker is BAD association, Digital video networking is GOOD association.
