Cymer shipped 90-95 units last qtr and received orders for approx 30 of its new 5010 laser. In addition, there are 323 lasers in WIP. Questions: 1) How many Lambda lasers are in use today? 2) How many lasers did Lambda ship last qtr? 3) How many Lambda lasers are in WIP? 4) How many orders did Lambda receive last qtr? You seem to be confusing lasers in actual production at stepper companies with orders that may or may not take place later this year or next. The proof is simple - Cymer has lasers that are in production. Companies are now placing orders for Cymer's upgraded lasers. Lambda still does not have a laser in production. It's possible they may, and I still have to emphasize may, produce a laser later this year or next. It's impossible to judge what quality this laser will have at that time, nor what (upgraded?) product Cymer will have in production at that time. It appears that you are trying to compare a "bird in the hand" with a "bird that might be born sometime in the future."
