Novell recently named Bill Joy, Sun's Chief Scientist, to their Board of Directors. Eric Schmidt, of course, formerly Sun's CTO, is Novell's CEO. With Novell's great interest in Java and Sun's push to network everything I think you'll see increased synergy between the two companies.
