I have used fire assay on concentrates before, but only in regional stream geochem programs, and in these cases all of the concentrate needs to be assayed in more than batch if needed to get the total contained gold. But to outline reserves? You would have to have all your concentrates derived from a standard sample size and then the result would have to be divided by the original weight of the pre concentrated sample. Too many steps for reliable results.
