I tend to agree with your feelings about the AMEX and I've never traded or even seriously followed any AMEX companies. But since it is merging with the NASD (or more precisely is going to fall under the NASD umbrella, they are going to share technology, etc.), it seems some of the reasons for its lack of appeal might go away (?). In some ways this discussion all seems like deja vu. I think it was about a year ago to the day when DCI was talking about getting listed on an exchange and the AMEX kept getting discussed as the "exchange of choice". At the time I questioned it because I thought the NASDAQ seemed like a much better fit for us. So, I guess history repeats ... I just hope this time the discussion isn't as academic as it turned out to be a year ago. Personally, I think getting DCI listed on any major exchange would work to our advantage -- I for one am tired of getting jerked around by OTC MMs like we were this afternoon.
