I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't know when I point out that P/E multiples are grounded in interest rates. But that said, if I am forecasting an exit multiple 10 years from now, I use 12-16x depending on the business. Your post was absolutely right, and helped shake me back to reality. Its tough when you're looking at this market 12 hours a day!
