I have never such a patient group of investors!

We've got people speaking about $12-15 range in 18 months, comparing today's loss to other companies that also fell today, and being optimistic about the additional cash -- I don't get it.

Why wait 18 months with a stock that's got a negative return for the last 3 years when big, secure, and reliable companies without any of the problems that Inprise has has done so much better (eg, Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, Intel, Symantec, etc)?

Other companies got hit today but then again most of them actually had some room to give because they've done great and have grown over the last three years.

I don't see the advantage of having additional cash. If Inprise wants cash, go earn it and take it away from other companies like all the other successful companies do and not simply shift from one form to another.

This situation reminds me of Stagflation -- Inprise's piece of the pie slowly but surely seems to be getting smaller no matter what actions they take.

So why am I still attached to Inprise/Borland? I guess it's a habit, I like underdogs and as an ISV I'll feel safer if Inprise continues to exist and hopefully thrive.

I put the last part in (even though it's true) to avoid being called a SHORT.
