No way. If there's money to make, they would not be turning away clients just to save themselves some "headaches." The exact same thing happened with ktel, and the week it dead, the stock began its inexorable trip south. My guess is it has something to do with the sec investigation into these bozos (it's at least 3 months old). SEC and crew are probably watching the hypermanic stocks to see if datek continues to consistently be the only broker with shares to short and sniffs around asking some questions (like are you allowing clients to short phantom shares again, or where are you getting these shares and why is no one else on the street getting them?).
