I didn't miss the "if".

There are only about 5 users of DUV lasers worldwide for photolithography.

After a company has evaluated and rejected a product, in my experience, that company is reluctant to perform another evaluation of a similar product from that same company. ... and certainly not within a couple years.

I believe that Lambda / Komatsu had their chance, failed and are unlikely to get considered seriously again for DUV lasers. They can continue to try. IMO, they're just unlikely to be welcomed with open arms.

But time will tell.
