<< PS I find it interesting that according to the research I've done today, the counties in WVA that were mentioned by Tod C as being newly acquired by MTEI have NO history of OIL production. Yes, some gas, not a whole hell of a lot, but NO NO NO oil. In addition, Total coal production, I repeat TOTAL coal production for Lincoln County last year was less than 10,000 tons. According to WVA records, 1 coal mine with 7 employees. Raleigh County has coal production, in fact a lot of production, but no oil production. If I can help answer any questions (even though via PM I got bashed) I will.

By the way, does anyone have any idea about the permitting process in West Virginia? I do.>>

Oh, yeah, Lonnie, we know about how much gas and coal are in Lincoln and Raleigh county, respectively. The stats have been posted in the past.

You forgot to mention about those 1500 gas production wells in Lincoln county and the 6.8 billion scf of gas produced every year there. Your right not much oil only 68,000 bbls / year. But look at the margins on this gas - 28% to 45% margins. Quite tasty.

Speaking of permitting how about that pyritic sulfur content of south WV coal. Should make that little acid mine drainage problem just disappear.

Oh, yeah, did I mention - sat on the WVONGA environmental board for about three years. How about those stripper well discharge requirements - is that a hoot or what. Shoot as long as it don't burn away it goes, eh?

Ted Streit is a fine man - he's been working hard on those orphaned mines hasn't he?

Here's a little information on permit fees:

192.243.139.248

Look tough, eh?

Well enough about WV - lets move on to MTEI - by god two whole months and no production - how dare they? Dump 'em I say. To hell with land acquisition - who need those mineral rights - we should be digging and pumping that earl - yeeehaaawww!!!

Finally, what about Kanawha county and Wayne county? Or didn't you know that MTEI had properties there, too. Funny it has been covered in this thread and in the MTEI info thread. Might be a good place to start.

To paraphrase Janice "Thank you for your interest in MTEI."

Really PM me with any questions YOU may have.

Eric
