Yes, I meant "means to ME". With the nice 15-minute window SI provides for editing messages, you'd think I'd *read* mine during that time, hm? Unfortunately, I was too busy ....

I've never heard of this situation before, but I'm sure it's happened. It seems similar to when a dividend is declared, and I'm well aware of what *that* means to ME as a short holder. :-)

I was wondering if I should cover today (before the option was tradable), I could avoid paying it. But since the date of record has passed, I doubt it. Guess I should've been reading some SEC filings (I assume they must have "warned" they were going to do this).

I think I'll get an answer here, but if not, I'll try the "From the Trading Desk" thread.
