TMK..... I finally was able to get back to your message...had some problems...think I solved them... OK..I will first say that I am not an expert in mathematics far from it...however this is how I see it.. First of all $ 1.43 is dollars and cents...there are no fractions involved here so $1.43 if entered on a sell or buy order should be executed without problems.....I will try to give you an example for converting fractions to Dollars & cents...FNTN closed with a bid of $1.31/64 this conversion to sell would be.$1.484375 actual...you can leave off the last 4 numbers..... this is how you convert from fractions..... 31 divided by 64 = 0.484375 so you end up with $1.484375... I believe the change in price today was 3/64... thus you have an increase in price of 0.046875...... 3 divided by 64 == 0.046875...... get it....
