She stared at the screen, willing the charts to reformat more quickly. New data. New format. Different colours. Did the bosses not understand that their endless changes and dissatisfaction with the truth were killing her?

The phone rang. Who on earth would be calling at this late hour? It was eleven thirty and the windows were dark. The office was silent and she was the only living thing on the floor, maybe even in all the twenty-two story building!

Should she answer it?
