IMHO, as I said earlier, it all comes down to the least
unpleasant option.

The alternative to the H. Pylori test is to shove a long
rubber hose with a camera on the end of it down your
throat and take photos of the ulcer. Quite unpleasant!

The bundling of this test with an anti-ulcer drug makes
tons of sense. Ulcers heal over time. I'd prick my finger
once a week to see if the medication is working rather
than have the hose down my throat.
