Nice to see so much spit and lather coming from those fingertips. Let's square with where your energy is coming.
From what little I have read of your contributions, the energy behind your argument is based on a very simple conclusion is that Gates will take total control over the Global Network
>>I see NOVL continually loosing hold in the Corporate Network I see it in a 300 billion dollar company everyday...>>
Ok, we have another "I See" man coming in here with colored glasses on which we all know have closed Windows. Let's continue...
>>Netscape is on the way out regardless of how it is precieved in Engineering....>>
What a powerfully bold statement to make! Can I have some of this light?
>> It does not matter that MSFT is forcing crap like Active X and Visual Basic on real developers that use Perl and Java..... Why does MSFT not support standards directly.... They do it to just make life easier if you use MSFT products.... Why when you install IIS3.0 do you have all types of problems supporting Netscape browsers... I could go into details..>>
Keep going into these "details". We are waiting ... We all had this glimmer of Gates monopolistic practices, but nobody has come to this board to tell us all these "details". Why didn't you share these with us. We would like to know more....
>>The point is that Netscape & Novell contrary to what everyone here wants to believe are on the way out of the corporate network because MSFT can give us everything we need for Free along with its OS which comes with every PC being built.... They have control of our desktop and applications... This all feeds to the Network and the Internet.....>>
Gosh, what a concept!! Man, and I've been thinking all along that competion is really where its at. You come in here and show us this light that says "there is a better way". Don't bother with competition? You mean Microsoft has this ALL covered. We no longer have to worry about think up creative, new, innovative things, etc??
>>Why are most developers plagued by the differences between the two major browsers on the Internet? Well MSFT with it's aregance and un-fair buisness practices will continue to screw the technical people and fool the computing ingnorance....>>
Wait a minute..... Now you are saying Microsoft is arrogant and un-fair? That they will continue to screw the technical people? And what do you mean by "fool(ing) the computing ingnorance"? I'm confused. Now you admit that Microsoft is not playing straight. And you think they will get away with this approach. That the entire world Global network will roll over and accept a company that has this mission: screwing people?
>> So given all of the the past history of let's say Databases, Spreadsheets, OS's, etc.... MSFT is on track to leave NOVELL in the dirt....>>
Sir, please enlighten us with more details about "all of the the the the past history". Did we miss something on this board? Folks, am I in the dark? Please MZIP, help us out. Elaborate on this subject. You seem to have an insight here that we could grow from.
>> Everyone would love to throw stones at me... What NOVELL supporters.. I.E. Stock Purchasing public need, is a reason that NOVELL will break the MSFT trend...>>
MZIP, we promise we will not throw stones at you. Yes, I believe you are right in your statement: "I.E. Stock Purchasing public (does) need...a reason that NOVELL will break the MSFT trend." Oh, how so true you are. Yes, you are RIGHT: this what we Novell investors have been waiting for!! I am clapping my hands in agreement!
>>Why will NOVELL hold it's market share in the corporate Network, it seems to me they are loosing it... Not because MSFT is any better they just control the industry.. Whether you like this or not it is Reality....>>
Oh boy, so you agree Microsoft IS NOT any better? Gosh, well we all agree with you on that point. And please elaborate more on how you think or perceive Novell's hold on the corporate Network will be forever lost. I say forever, since you have Gates taking over the world. Please tell us how Gates is going to pull off this feat from here on out.
As for reality, its always tough. And we all know the truth is sometimes the hardest thing to accept. As ugly as this truth seems to be....
>> I love SGI Irix OS and Sun's variants of UNIX.... Do I buy stock in SGI & Sun, no because the future does not look very good as far as a growth industry...>>
You have this confidence...this sense of dispatch...certainty and vision. I wish I knew the future like you. Please stick around and tell us more about this future you speak about....
>>It could be argued that UNIX is still the backbone of the internet etc.... Large sites are mostly still supported by UNIX.... UNIX does not hang and run like MSFT IIS does.... So do you See SGI & SUN as a large growth industry? I'm nervous because I watch SUN after SUN get decommisioned and NT based hosts which don't need any NOVELL products to be integrated into the network...>>
NT hosts that do not need any Novell products? You mean NT will not need a Directory Service for the next 2+ years?? Now that's new information we did not have on this board. How about BorderManager and all the other network OS services that Novell has been winning awards for during the last year. You mean to say that all of this means nothing? Is it all because of Gates. Is his power THAT HUGE??
>>So where to companies like SGI, SUN, and NOVELL fit into the future of the Industry.... I.E. The Internet.... That is the big question....>>
Oh gosh. And what a BIG question this is. You are so right MZIP to phrase this question for us all. And "the internet", too. Where do all these companies that compete with new ideas and products fit into a world that's being turned over to be controlled by Mr. Gates. You are so right. This Windows thing is like a big Tsunami. It could destroy literally EVERYTHING in its path. And to think we are all helpless. So true, MZIP. So true. If your vision and logic is correct....oh how so true you are.
>>MZIP Later, MZIP>>
Please return to us sooner than "later".
You have enlightened us all with your contributions. |
