Steve,

We are both thinking along the same lines. Roy Sardina's comments have really helped me take a longer term approach to this. That's why I continue to hold my IRA shares, and have added some regular shares over the last month or so, to get my average price down.

Part of the frustration that I feel stems from the fact that I've been an ANCR investor for so long, and it has been a real roller coaster ride. If we look at the SAN market objectively, Ancor should be able to compete effectively in that space. I doubt that we will see significant revenues until 1999, but if the MKII has a complete feature set, it should get some of the business. If scalability becomes an issue, I think the MKII has some real competitive advantages.

If we take a long term (1-2 year), objective look, an ANCR investment looks pretty good, especially at these prices. The downside risk at this point is exactly $1 1/4.

Craig
