Bill or George, being as someone else has brought up my "if" from yesterday, I" will' ask another question . I keep hearing that gold is following the yen, so that would fit the "plan". If such a thing were about to happen and the Japanese wanted to make some of there "trillion" bad debt back, they would be very heavy in the gold derivitives and possibly mining stocks. Any indication of this?
What kind of money is involved in futures and options in the gold market? What profit potential would result from 4 or 6 hundred gold if they had a large position in these? Would all the yen borrowed for the gold carry trade, come out of treasurys and back to Japan raising the value of the yen and instilling confidence in it's people. I imagine the people of Japan would bring there money home and out of U.S. Investments also. Thanks Mike
