Thanks for the description of the hpa display, Craig, but as Jason Hall suggested, seeing is believing. Have you or any others on the thread done an eyeball test on hpa vs. tft? I'm interested in personal comparisons of angle of view, brilliance, and speed. I'll try to find a store where I can see them myself, but I'd be interested in your opinion.
Also, I checked prices on refurbished laptops at compaqworks.com, and they looked good. Are these real savings over street prices, or just savings over list prices?
Since I'm long on cpq, I'd like to keep my sis-in-law's purchase in the family.
