TT,
RE:"

>>"...people are having with AGP slotted video cards and
non-Intel motherboard chipsets that support K6-2-300 CPU's at
100MHZ?"<<

Paul, you are really a joker! Intel does not manufacture
100MHz/AGP chipset for Socket-7!!!
.......
I believe that Paul said NON-intel chip sets.
.......
RE:" "This problem proves that Socket-7 is obsolete. As I believe,
100MHz and AGP function very well with 440BX chipset in Slot-I"

The problem Paul is refering to is due to the i740 chipset not being compatable with early versions of the VIA MPV3 chipset. This has been corrected with the "CE" revision. It's printed on the chip.
Slot one must be obsolete too, now we have Slot 2 and Socket 470 coming. Truth is that most PC buyers do have a clue how the cpu fits into the motherboard.
