PhD.'s sometimes mean many things. In some circles PhD. = Piled higher and Deeper. In the automobile industry PhD. = Pop has Dealership. Art History is a far cry from geology and doesn't give you any experience in extracting hydrocarbons from the earth. Maybe you took Geology 101 to complete your natural science requirements but that's no claim to fame either. If you have no experience in business or the oil and gas industry then your credentials are lacking to handing out advice.
