More on CBS..Here's an example of what i would consider BAD REPORTING in the coverage of Reel.com story

cbs.marketwatch.com

>>>To get into America's living rooms, Hollywood Entertainment will still need to work with the cable and phone companies that own the all-important wires through which movies will be sent. "Clearly, they've got to work through someone else," said Bill Sheppard, business development manager of Sun Microsystems' consumer and embedded products division.<<<

I guess it's implied that Reel.com doesn't have the connections here & now "to work through someone else" What is he out of his mind.?!!?!!
WAKE UP! Paul Allen one of the largest shareholders of Hollywood Video & one of the key players behind the HollyWood Video/Reel.com
deal....He owns one of the largest Cable Operations in the world!
How's that for a synergy? How's that for "Relevance"?????!

>>>On the other hand, a spokeswoman for Viacom's Blockbuster Video chain said the leader in the video rental industry has more pressing concerns than worrying about "what could happen" in the future.

"We're not talking much about it right now," Karen Raskopf told CBS MarketWatch. "We're focused on what's important in the here and now, and that's taking care of consumers."<<<

Yeah right Blockbuster is focusing on the "here and now".... What complete B.S. Blockbuster & Viacom have recently announced their intentions to spin Blockbuster off and have an IPO....within 12- 18 months......
