I disagree with this. Account balance/buying power obtained from
Webbroker or touch tone is very reliable even when I have a lot of
options in my account. The only thing I have to check with them
every morning is the day trading power. They wouldn't tell me
how to compute it.

Yes, the monthly statement does count options or non-marginable
stocks to the equity.
