Greenpeace, I just cannot believe you are so simple-minded about this. You show up with some baseless cheerleading like...

Clinton is the most popular president of our generation, and for good reason. He's going nowhere.

... and you have absolutely nothing of substance, only the same old nebulous boilerplate pabulum ("he's good for the economy, good for the environment, cares for the old folks, gonna save Social Security, blah, blah, blah") you've been saying for weeks.

Popularity is often inversely proportional to leadership ability and effectiveness. Anyone who has ever been in a position of responsibility knows that's true. So of course Clinton's popular; he is ineffective as a leader.

Clinton is not good for the economy. He wants to tax and penalize the tobacco companies until they go out of business. (And yet he refuses to ban cigarettes. Why is that, do you suppose?) He tried to restrict the drug companies' profit margins with his Health Care bill. I'll let you guess what happens to the stock market if either of those things happens. There's one more thing about Clinton's economics you might not know: his advice to the Japanese prime minister on how to get their economy on track was CUT TAX RATES. Strange how cutting rates is good for the Japanese economy and not for ours.

Clinton is not good for the environment. You still haven't read that article in Forbes about his active participation in the diamond mining of Arkansas state parks, have you?

Clinton does not care about the old folks. If he did, he would LOWER THE TAXES ON THEIR PENSION, LOWER THE TAXES ON THEIR CAPITAL GAINS, AND LOWER THE TAX RATES ON THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY so they could afford their own air conditioners and their own health insurance.

Clinton does not care about the children. If he did, he would eliminate the IRS's marriage penalty so at least one parent could stay home with them instead of trying to implement some federal child-care scheme.

Your "most popular president of our generation" is a liar, a hypocrite, and a person of no moral standards whatsoever. And I think you suspect as much but your pride and your environmental agenda don't allow you to admit it.
