James, what do you think of the emerging Electric / Alternate fuel automobiles?

I believe that the distant future definitely points to electric / alternate fuel vehicles as a prime choice, since we do not have infinite source of petroleum stored in the ground.

I believe this will not be a concern as we still seem to have untapped reservoirs of oil / petroleum but I'm still curious about it. Depending on geological research worldwide, the government must be planning for worldwide oil shortage with projected timelines.

As for the massive conversion of civilian and military vehicles or engines to alternate fuel engines, I don't think this will happen in the near future either, even though Saturn, Honda and Toyota have started to produce and market Hybrid E-cars.

So I suppose what I'm asking is, what is everyone else's take on the marketplace / market lifespan for product like the Turbopack?
