Dave - I've been reading all of the archived messages and have been playing with the 3, 13, 40 EMA Crossings:

and have been able to construct an indicator in Metastock 6.5:
(Mov(C,5,E)-Mov(C,13,E))-(Mov((Mov(C,5,E)-Mov(C,13,E)),40,E))
I'm sorta jammed up trying to make a System Tester for the same.. So far for the Long Side I've got:
Mov(C,5,E) > Mov(C,13,E) AND
Mov(C,5,E) > Mov(C,40,E) AND
Mov(C,13,E) > Mov(C,40,E)
is this the way to do it?
The big jamm comes when I try to formulate the exit long thingy..
Any Suggestions?
Also, this seems to work mainly on fairly volatile and fast rising/falling stocks .. correct? Have you switched to a "better" technique for these type of stocks? (I'm still in 1997 at this point)
