What about this, someone get's ill or has an accident in another state or country, usually steps are taken and an attempt is made to contact the individual's physician for discussion and a copy of his or her's medical records are sent/faxed to the attending physician. Since confidentiality is critical when it comes to an individual's medical records, wha la, you could have an intranet subscription service to all major medical facilities. A simple call to receive access or some arrangement is made where access is already approved then in the emergency/hospital/waiting room someone's records can be viewed immediately so any allergies or other potential problems can be spotted. Guess what, we've just created a medical MLS! I don't know if one exists but it sure sounds good and could even save lives.

Just a thought,
Bill
