You call Greenpeace simpleminded!?! You should listen to your paranoid self:

< Clinton does not care about the children. If he did, he would eliminate the IRS's marriage penalty so at least one parent could stay home with them instead of trying to implement some federal child-care
scheme>

Childcare "SCHEME" ? Do you really think that eliminating the IRS marriage penalty, as you call it, would allow a parent to stay home?
Not only is that is it not enough, but, Hello...This is 1998! Not 58!
There are lot's of single parent households out there, as well as middleclass parents who both need to work.

As for his healthcare plot to undermine drug companies profits. No worries about that...we don't have a government healthcare program, we have managed care! Now we get to pay more for restricted care. The HMO's have a longer and longer list of drugs they won't cover at all. See what will happen to drug profits when they decide not to cover prescription drugs at all!

I suppose your idea of brilliant leadership was Reagan who stomped all over the Constitution going around Congress in the Iran/Contra scandal. Lucky for him he had power and deep pockets on his side and someone who knew how to disappear evidence. Now that is what I call real corruption!
