There is a compression option but I have opted for no compression. The no compression option allows for single file restoration. I chose a 600 MB OS + basic program installation as the first step in my harddrive restoration. The reason I stopped at 600 MB is that it will fit on a CDR. I do not have access to IDE CDR. I can try a burn on another SCSI CDR however. I am not a regular sound recorder either. The files that I extracted from a CD were averaging about 50 MB. If an audio CD is 74 minutes and it can hold 650 MB that would work out to about 8.8 MB per minute. Just guessing Zeuspaul
