What insiders are you talking about? Sikes and Horton have been sent packing. Hinds and Bertman play for the other team so don't expect them to telegraph any punches. Only leaves two who need to know. The brother who votes Ramton's shares, and he has been sinfully dipping. And the guy who votes Intag's shares, probably Fear.

I imagine only a small inter-circle knows what's going down so don't look for a lot of insider buying. I bet Horton didn't even know he was on the hit list. As I said, we may see the employee stock incentive plan revisited, but that's about it.

You are thinking of the traditional takeover. Trouble is, in my scenario the deal is done. Recall, the play is over before the ball is snapped.

Given Ramtron's and Intag's Keystone Cop's record, the buyer is making sure it is getting what's been advertised. Why would a Dow 30 Company want egg on its face like Cendant.

When all the DD is done and the ball is hiked, Racom/HP will hit the ground running and the competition will have been taken by surprise. A real coupe.
