Charles, what are you smoking? You so angry at Frank to discount anything positive, or speculative? This is a speculative stock. It trades on speculation. Maxam now trades at $0.20. A buyout at $3 would only be a market cap of $138MM, Barrick probably wouldn't have to think twice for that amount of money. Your comment about the Maxam employees has me wondering if you read company press releases. Back to my original question, what are you smoking? <VBG>

Maxam Gold Corporation is pleased to announce that Mr. Frank X. McGarvey, an internationally respected Ion-Exchange Expert has been retained as a consultant on process chemistry-and-design, and leaching and extraction utilizing Ion-Exchange technology.
Mr. McGarvey received Bachelors and Masters degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, is a member of the American Chemical Society, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and numerous other technical societies. He has published over 200 technical papers dealing with all phases of Ion-Exchange processes, has written chapters of numerous books, and holds 10 patents. He is the Co-Inventor of Mixed Bed Deionization.
Mr. McGarvey has spent 50-years studying the application of Ion-Exchange Resin technology for industrial and environmental processes and has developed methods for use of synthetic Ion-Exchange in water, nuclear, sugar, and mining industries. He has worked worldwide, in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. He helped develop the process for recovery of uranium in South Africa, Canada, the United States, and Australia. He also applied Ion-Exchange to nuclear waste control at Hansford and Rocky Mount.
Mr. McGarvey's experience includes employment at Sybron Chemical Company as Technical Manager of the Ion-Exchange Center; Puricons as President; Barnstead, Still & Sterilizer Company as Director of Research and Development; and Rohm & Haas Company for twenty years as Technical Representative.
Mr. McGarvey, and his associates will work with other Maxam consultants and employees to design and develop Maxam's Ion-Exchange Resin processes. |
