How much market potential? How much? I'll tell you how much: Every router used to hook up to the internet, every router used in enterprise intranets, every e-commerce server, every firewall, every large dial access server in every ISP, every enterprise tape backup device ... Potential, yeah, there's potential alright. Either the market doesn't see it yet (i.e. stock is extremely undervalued), or Hi/fn is not in a good position to capture this opportunity. I don't see why the latter would be true, given they have several design wins with their 7711 chip and are already supplying compression chips to Quantum for their DLT tape drive line.
