I am no BEAN COUNTER...but a Marketing expense..is an EXPENSE
whatever you call it...it may even be a Pre-paid LONG TERM agreement for
marketing...how the heck do I KNOW>....

It may be an internal MARKETING EXPENSE>...that saves payroll taxes...and state
disability insurance expense...Or whatever...I am not familiar with Washington STate
payroll tax rates...State disability insurance rates...or whatever...

IMPRISTINE.

The payroll is still counted as payroll from within and all necessary taxes must be paid. The public release does not bread these expenses down into operating versus marketing. That is my only point. I was not implying thet the grouping of theses expenses was to save AMZN money on payroll taxes. I was stating no one outside the company knows how many dollars are going into marketing and how many into the cost of fulfillment if you will.

I was not implying you should not be bullish. I believe this thread has covered every possible angle on AMZN. The rest is simply an interpretation which leads to an opinion.

I just want it clear that a statement that AMZN can be profitable it they desired, can be inaccurate as well as accurate. I do not know.

AMZN has not broken any laws in the way they report their earnings statement. They choose to group a lot of items in one category leaving the investor to guess.

Let's agree to agree<G> I will stay bearish and you will stay bullish. Just keep in mind that a lot of important information regarding the operation expenses of AMZN are not known. If they were, it likely would not change our positions regardless.

Good luck on your long position!

Glenn
