Only because at the heart of GTIS are distributors, not developers. They are the best at exploiting other folks works, really good, but they don't create anything of value themselves. Now, they know that, they are only as good as as the products they can "buy", so they want to build their own. They are starting to do just that, by building a dev studio in Canada. That will take more cash...more focus away from more distribution deals.

Recently ATVI bought some ID rights for Quake add-ons and data discs. GTIS will have more compitition in the near future, more than they are used to.
So, long term, pretty tough road ahead.
