Bill - Re: " If it was unafraid it would not make the fakery that is slot one, it would tend to its work and make processors and let them compete on merit."

Again, you obsess about the Slot 1.

Ask yourself this - why is AMD making the K7 with a Slot A interface?

That should tell you, Bill, even you - that THERE ARE BETTER WAYS TO CONNECT A CPU TO A SYSTEM than socket 7.

So you blame Intel for it's success by outmaneuvering AMD on a silly electrical interface.

You are as much admitting that Intel has a better grasp on system performance and was two or three years ahead of AMD in scoping this out!

Re: "Intel makes a product and is trying to make it a unique brand linked item instead of truly competing with AMD."

Again, your are DEAD WRONG - TWICE.

Intel designs and makes better products than AMD.

Intel outmarkets AMD - HANDS DOWN!

Intel is successful because their products command a higher price - a much higher price - than any AMD product.

AMD's horrendous financial losses would have convinced a reasonable man that AMD has gone awry.

Yet you haven't been convinced!

Enough said.
