Studies have shown over 1/2 of all Americans have committed adultery. They all lied about it.

Yes, pezz, you are right. As a realist I understand we all tell lies at one time or another. However I believe there are degrees of lies as pertains to the situation. Very few of us have had the opportunity to offer a lie under oath sworn before a judge and jury. I would suspect the percentage of liars would greatly diminish under such a situation.

In my last job our new sales manager (new to the company to boot), a married woman BTW, was seen cavorting about with another married man at a sales meeting by her subordinates-me included. Morale and her credibility suffered from that point onward. She did not lose her job, as she surely would, because the incident was kept from upper mgmt. One would expect the elected leader of our country to pay a higher price for such indescretions.

As an idealist I expect more from our elected officials and leaders in general, whether corporate or otherwise. If one seeks and takes a position of leadership then one should expect to hold themselves to a higher standard and make more sacrifices than us mere mortals who don't seek such lofty heights. JMO
