<< I should be more responsible in my posts.Was just being playful>> oh, hal, that was clear. i too often forget this medium may not translate my sarcastic bent, so my replies may feign outrage, but truly i am engaging you in much the same playful way. i think the fact that you are now beginning to eye other stocks again is a healthy move... a scan for those <<with 3 year top and bottom line growth...very sound balance sheets .... [where the] share prices that have grown less than half of the growth rate[is a good] a starting point.>> even if you were to embrace the "market's opinion for a short time"...i feel such an analysis might actually be revealing a longer term appraisal with such a scan. and that the respect for such a short sighted appraisal ( as we have been seeing with ampex) may finally reveal the long term respect you seek. anyway.... considering what is underperforming in this market, i wonder if your new list might not include just about every single small cap...we'll see, huh. later... randy
