Monty,

You generally wouldn't see new 52 week lows exceeding new 52 week highs on the ascent to the peak, but once it rolls over, and it (new lows > new highs) happens within 4 trading days of that rollover date, the outcome has always been devastating in the past. In this case, it happened the very next day after the peak, showing just how ready this market was and is to conclude the long term rally.

I think SPX 650 is the ultimate target of any real crash, and should hold up for months and maybe years above that level before heading lower if the fundamentals/world situation warrants it.

Regards,

David
