The following is a further comment on the group's performance this
week. First of all, the group average stayed the same this past week
compared to the previous week. The makeup of the gains and losses
within the group last week is rather interesting.

Within the group, the large market cap stocks led the gains for the
week. The five largest within the group are shown in the top part of
the table. Then for contrast, I picked five much smaller market cap
stocks which are shown in the bottom part of the table.

With the exception of TER, the large market cap stocks all had good
gains last week. AMAT gained 10 percent and it is selling at a PE of
36 based on estimated next years earnings. At the bottom of the
table, the smaller cap stocks had large losses, but much better
outlook for earnings. As pointed out earlier, 14 stocks were up, 2
the same and 25 down for last week, yet the group average change was
0 percent. The gains in the big cap stocks had a lot to do with
holding the group average to no loss for the week. It will be
interesting to see if they can maintain that performance next week
when their predicted out-year PE ratios are already quite high.
