Eric, re: your research on William Donohoo. Very, very interesting...
Yes, you interpreted my request "exactly". I wonder why they seem to be so evasive (my interpretation) when "penetrating" questions like the one's you are asking, get asked? Hmmmm... Well, I'll just say it.
I wonder if Mr. Donohoo is one of the "good ol' boys"? Hmmmm....
Eric, do you know what "good ol' boys" do to a company? Now, I'm not saying he is or he isn't, or that he might be, or might not. But, "good ol' boys" tend to be self-serving, and impediments to progress.
"Good ol' boys" are extremely hard to "pry out" of an organization. And they also don't like "change". You know who suffers? Well, the employees do, for sure. And so do the stockholders (if it's a public company).
Now, I could be 200% wrong here. But --- I know he was there during Frankenberg's tenure, and I'll make an assumption that he was there during Ray Noorda's time. And now he's there with the current "executive management".
Eric, I still would like to know if Mr. Donohoo's position is "staff" or "line". Because if it's "line" then I think a lot of people on this thread will have a valid reason to be "pissed off". Dontcha' think?
I mean, if it hasn't gotten better by now (read: MARKETING), what is going to make ME believe it's going to get better?
This may be all hot air, but I think I'm going to blow it around anyway. You see, it's not MY OX that is going to get gored now, is it?
You said >>I will post anything I get but I expect nothing from them as "this was not a standard request...and this information is not in our files...<blah..blah...blah>".
How do we get them to listen...who is going to promote your company and your staff UNLESS you do it yourself!

Oh, I think we'll get the information. One way or t'other <grin>.
Regards, and thanks for the follow-up. Anxiously awaiting more input.
