Amazon is a brand. Service businesses have brands. McDonalds, Barnes & Noble, Starbucks, Staples, Ritz Carlton, Tiffany, Yahoo... None of the above is a brand. The closest may be McDonalds since some may prefer their french fries to others. The rest sell commodities. Specifically Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Hotel rooms vary so one knows what to expect.
