However if it were not true that's where the ax hits the tree.
I believe there would be a problem, then.

Now, relating that to the stock issue..why do people think that posting false info about a stock would be any different?
(no sides here, short or long)

Carrying it a step further,
The posting of false info would be for what purpose?
The person is mad at the world so they decided to pick on xyz stock?
More than likely, the posting of false info would be for the purpose of manipulating a stock price, either up or down, for profit.

I believe that this would be
sanctioned regardless of what anybody feels about "feedom of speech".
