OFF TOPIC...Not about Mr. Pink Investor's Business Daily Monday, August,3,1998 page A4 "Chip-Material Maker Finds Silicon Substitute" For the Technically Gifted.(Not Me) "American Xtal, which went public in July, is the largest U.S. maker of semiconductor wafers using gallium arsenide, a compound base material" American Xtal's VGF technology also used in light-emitting diodes, lasers, optical couplers,and displays amoung other things...Yikes "GaAs is becoming an attractive alternative for number of manufacturers. For example, the telecom industry uses the material in high end cell phones, fiber channels and gigabit Ethernet products" What does MRVC grow at their facility that I toured last shareholder's meeting? Any threat to their technology? Are they using this technology already? I'm sure, that being it was printed in IBD MRVC knows about this? I hope so. Always the worry wart...me John Not short one share of anything except legs
