"...the issue of manipulated stocks on SI still comes down to small class stocks to me, and I still think it's an area that is defined by a thin class of issues that are meaningless to the community as a whole."

Exactly - the great majority of investors are just that - investors - and as such have nothing to do with carp bulletin board promotions. One poster in a PM to me described posting critical analysis on BB threads as 'like playing with lab rats', referring to the reactions of the longs as they refuse to view their 'investment' objectively. I don't think that's so far off the mark. Those of us with a little experience have all got caught up in carp 'stocks' in our youth and learned to recognize the odour rising from them. It does amaze me though that anybody, no matter how inexperienced, is taken in by the mtei, edii, cygs, ovis, rmil sort of paper. The VSE even in the worst of the Bad Old Days was never that bad.

Speaking of ovis/rmil, this poster 'anyone' that you are replying to is an ovis/rmil long whose login used to be 'al-len', I believe. Quite a few of the 50,000+ posts on that thread are his #reply-5378643 . I have read many, and never noticed intelligence of any sort. In case you don't know rmil, I highly recommend it when there's just way too much time on your hands - go right to the start 207.183.153.73 and read a few, and don't forget to check out SI's own Psychic Cop Stock Guru 207.183.153.73 and definitely don't miss his website psicop.com - 'Riley G' and 'anyone' are fellow rmil longs, and blame the SEC shutdown of their carp stock on SI 'bashers'.

I am not making any of this up, honest ....... -g- ....... cheers
