<<There are some things that we have the right to keep to our selves. Our sex life is one, even if we are President. But he was not given the option to decline to answer so he chose to lie.As I have said before, quite understandable. >>

Whoa! Friend! The right of freedom from self-incrimination is guaranteed by founding documents most of us have learned to hold dear to our hearts and minds. The President is protected by these very same principles. He definitely had the option to decline. Now of course there are political consequences that may come from doing so. That is another issue. Am I detecting more "ends justify the means" logic here ?

If its true, as you say that he lied, then I presume you are saying that he lied having taken an oath to "tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth". That's our country's President and the Commander-In-Chief of the world's most powerful armed forces we're talking about right ? The Department of Justice reports into this person does it not ? And he can lie to protect himself ?

And this whole issue of keeping it (the sex) personal. Isn't that the very issue ? Just whose 'personal' are you referring to ? Bill's or Mistress #1, or Mistress #2, Mistress #3 or ... Mistress #n ? Seems to me Mr. Clinton voluntarily sacrificed this "personal" right to privacy when he violated his marriage vows and engaged, what the allegations would have us believe, any number of other parties. Just how does personal and private get explained here ?
