These two companies are definitly competitors and I would be (positively) surprised by any such move. Remember the israeli military research is the inventor of flash memory...and the Technion is the best university in the world for such a technology... This could be viewed as increased competition between the two, and increased pressure on M-Systems. Indeed, remember SNDK is a clear leader in the number of patents when compared to FLSHF.
