Wu Ying: Nice post. The convertible bond issue came out in 1996. The short interest before the bonds were issued exceeded 3.5 million shares. Most of us attribute but very little to bond holders shorting the stock. Actually there were about 3.5 million shares short back in 1994 and it has never fallen below that number to my knowledge. It just reacently hit 4.1 million and than backed down to about 39 million as last published. It is absolutely foolish for a small short to remain short now. The shorts are going to lose a lot of money sometime between now and the end of the year.
