Collin,

The interesting thing about that combination is it essentially transforms trend indicators into a trend/momentum indicator with a signal. With the 34 below the 89 a trading entry signal occurs when the 5 first turns up while the other two are also moving up. When the 34 crosses over the 89, upside momentum is powerful and the 5 signals are indications to enter for a sustained trend.
When familiar with how they all react to daily price ranges and closing prices, one one easily anticipate trade and/or momentum opportunities on the day a signal occurs by knowing what price activity is needed for either rather than waiting for the close to update the chart. For instance, today's low on ACRT is at the highest level it's been since the bottom was found at 10 1/2 (and much higher than it's been in the last 34 days) while the high is not at all extended. This activity will bring the 34 closer to the crossover and a positive close will keep the 5 day signal intact.
